Apart from overseeing the direction of the firm, Nicoleta Almaj-Murariu is directly involved in practice and in securing that the highest quality of services is delivered to Almaj, Iordache’s clients; Nicoleta coordinates the Power, Oil & Gas, IT, Derivatives & Finance and M&A practices.

Having over 15 years of extensive experience in business law, Nicoleta is sought out by our clients to resolve some of their most complex and delicate matters and transactions in various industries such as Power, Oil & Gas, Technology, Financial Services, Real Estate etc.

Nicoleta is advising clients in evaluating compliance of their projects and new products with applicable regulations. Advising clients on the allocation of risks and providing creative solutions for sustainable business is what Nicoleta enjoys most.

By providing straightforward legal support, Nicoleta helps clients to securely access the necessary funds, either from conventional financing or FinTech, by keeping high attention to their financial goals and mandatory regulations. She has worked on gas, LNG to power, wind, solar, biomass, hydro and energy storage transactions and has extensive experience in projects and project financing, acquisitions and investments and security issues on energy projects.

Nicoleta counsels clients on the implications of new technology such as blockchain technology and IOT; in addition, she advises on complex technology contracts, including large scale outsourcing, cloud services, technology and applications development, FinTech products development and related services contracts.

Nicoleta is a business orientated lawyer with strong academic background, holding among others a bachelor’s degree, European Law from Paris 1 University, Panthéon-Sorbonne, French - Romanian College of European Law and a Bachelor’s Degree, Law issued by Bucharest University.

Nicoleta is member of the Bucharest Bar Association as of February 2005.

She is fluent in English and has good knowledge of French and Spanish.
